Welcome back to the podcast everyone. You know when it comes to making a good shot with either a bow or a rifle but especially a bow, knowing the range goes a really long way toward making that arrow or bullet count.

And with modern range finders, getting the range is really just a button click away.

But in most hunting situations, it's honestly not as straightforward as that.

Getting the range might be difficult because you might have to expose yourself to get high enough to range overbrush.

Or often you'll get a range on your range finder but maybe it hits something

in front of or behind the animal.

There's also a lot of other factors that can make getting a really accurate range difficult.
