away I wanted to take time to talk about the election and politics so I invited Akila Hughes to shed some light on this political moment.

Aquila is the co-host of Crooked Media's daily news show What A Day. She is also the author of a collection of

essays called Obviously Stories from my timeline.

She's a comedian and a television writer. We talk about working in news and

when Akila and I are allowed to be in the same space together again one day. We're going to do like a full stacks totally book

podcast but because we are in you know at the hellscape of right now we obviously can't be together and because

Akila is not only a comedian and a wonderful author but she's also a podcast host

and talks about politics.

We're going to tap a little bit more into that side of Akila today, but we will do books one day.
