Summary

It's a solo episode this week as there's so much to talk about. I rant about a current lack of objectivity in reporting the the government. A lack of any sense in the NHS's treatment of a woman in the case of a trans sexual assault. And a lack of any dignity in a recent experience I had at a Travelodge.

Hello and welcome to episode 134 of what most people think. I hope you are well. I had a busy week on the road last week. I went to Belfast on the Friday and didn't want to come out to that.

0:28.0

Well, you would have seen a guy that did not realise it was St Patrick's Day the day before. Well, didn't realise when we put it in and it was quite a gig, because I think for the first 30 minutes everyone was hung over.

0:40.0

And then something strange happened. People that first beer seemed to get in people's bloodstream. My support act Ryan McDonald did a finger in joke and a way you go.

0:49.0

Oh, my God, last week we started with something about anal examinations this week. It's fingering. They're going to promise you it will go up here from here.

0:59.0

And then I had five trains back. I had to then get a flight. Right. So every time I go Belfast, I end up saying, I'm not getting drunk tonight. And then I get drunk and then I change my flight. And it happened again. I think it's the first time on the spin.

1:11.0

So I had to get a flight over to Liverpool, John Lennon Airport. And I don't know if you know that we're all, but I looked here on a map and went, that's not a far take a taxi.

1:20.0

Anyway, 60 quid later. There I am in New Brighton, which is very near Liverpool, but very fucking different as well. It's really weird because they sort of like it's got a seaside and a promenade and some kind of fairground rides, but you can also see these huge cranes in the distance. Very strange.

1:36.0

But yeah, it was an interesting gig there. I don't know how much comedy they had at that gig. At the same time I was on, they had a Mrs. Marple gig going in the way.

1:45.0

I mean, there's something like, there's a sober moment in your career, we go, you're just, I mean, yeah, you sold it right. You sold about 140, but I tell you what, Mrs. Marple is sold out.

1:55.0

And there was a woman in there who I think had just had a couple of couple of too many drinks, you know, she'd been taking in, she'd been taking in the sights of the cranes and the docks and all that sort of stuff.

2:06.0

And then Paul accounts had had a couple of yoga bombs and she, she got chucked out. And if she is listening that lady, look, I don't know, I always want to know what happens the following day after a gig like that, whether you wake up and just think, all I was doing was having a laugh.

2:22.0

And it turns out I was chucked out for laughing because laughing is illegal. No, it wasn't quite like that, but it just, I just think there's a point beyond which I think while my support acts was on the brilliant Chris Keeho, I think she went out and had another yoga bomb at that point.

2:37.0

I just don't think it ever recovers from that sort of decision-making progress process, rather.

2:43.0

So this is a solo episode of what most people think and everyone said, well, I do these and this is, well, look, I'll tell you the reason I'm doing them one this week is that it is I often do when I've got a lot to say, well, trust me, I've got a lot to get off my chest this week.

2:57.0

And I have been and a lot of the regulars, you know, this is a show coming from the sort of right of center angle of things, perhaps a bit more conservative, but you know, I've been dabbling with lots of different ways of thinking.

3:09.0

Well, put it this way, I felt more conservative this week than I have for a while just because of the handling of some of the stories that have been in the press, right?

3:18.0

So stay tuned for me renting on the release of Nandidin Zahari Racklith, the story about the P&O Seconds, Boris's Crasperctanology, and there's also stuff about there was this sort of gas line.

3:32.0

I don't mean I know that it's kind of like a trendy, wanky, modern word to use, but there was a gas line of a woman that was alleged a sexual assault on an NHS ward by a transgender patient, but they told her, hey, it couldn't have happened, because nobody here is a man.

3:47.0

And they kind of left out the fact that somebody did have a penis. So let's, I mean, look, if you were, if you've been staying tuned for a while thinking, when's he going to risk getting in trouble again? This could be the episode.

3:57.0

But before we get to all that, I've got new patrons, I've only got one this week.

4:01.0

So look, if you are listening, if you are listening, this is what keeps the podcast weekly and at free, but it's not just an act of charity in your part.

4:09.0

They are significant benefit, patron benefits, right? Coming at his, here's an example, April 13th, live gig online, online gig, just sit there and you ask, just sit on your laptop, you don't have to go anywhere.
