Hey, Laura.

How you doing?

Hi, Shauna.

We're doing pretty well.

So my toddler is 23 months and one week this week.

And just a really, really quick check-in with him.

We're just having sort of normal toddler times,

but my big thing this week, I'm just laughing, thinking about it because it was such a disaster.

Oh my gosh. I decided it was time to try to make cookies with my toddler. Okay. Like chocolate chip

cookies? No, I decided. So after last week's crafting fail, of course, what I wanted to do was like try my hand at a new craft. Of course. Which was I've never like properly decorated sugar cookies. Like I've baked, I've been baking forever, right? I've baked plenty of sugar cookies and I've slathered some frosting on them. But like, I've never like done like a really elaborate like royal icing. And I thought that it would be fun to sort of make them with cookie cutters and have him help me with like rolling it out and cutting out the dough.

You know, he'd get his own little area and I would do the more intricate ones and we would have a

fun bonding moment with mother and child.

Yes.

Oh, that sounds lovely.

And nothing says toddler activity more than elaborate and intricate.
