You told that story.

Well, you know what?

0:02.2

You're along for the ride, people, and I've had a martini tonight.

0:04.3

So there we go.

0:05.2

Sam's really mad at me for telling that story.

0:07.0

I'm not going to edit it out, though.

Welcome back, everybody. This week's episode of the DCL Duo podcast, and we are coming to you from Meridian.

0:34.8

We are on the patio outside of Palo right now enjoying dirty martini and a little something from The Bin.

0:56.4

And if you don't know what The Bin is, then hit us up on social media or our email, and we'll explain it to you. But we are on the Disney Dream this week. And so our show is, as usual, a trip report about our trip aboard the Disney Dream. And so we are excited to share with you our experiences thus far. Let us start with, we did stay at Animal Kingdom Lodge beforehand. We did not go into the parks, but we did stay at DVC stay at Animal Kingdom Lodge beforehand.

I think there's a live video up on our Facebook feed touring our room.

1:05.0

The one notable thing we did at Animal Kingdom Lodge was dinner at Sana for the world famous bread service.

1:07.8

And so Sam, Sena, a hit or a miss?

1:09.3

A little bit of both.

1:11.6

Bread service was for sure a hit.

1:17.8

The mango margarita that I had was also a hit, although it gave me brain freeze.

1:25.2

But I would say the dinner that I had, which is butter chicken, and I know you had the braze short rib, it wasn't bad.

1:29.4

It was good, but it didn't wow me, and I've had Indian food other places. So I'd say it was mixed review, but the bread service, which everybody raved about,

1:34.0

was absolutely a hit. Yeah, so I agree with Sam's overall assessment. I'll just add two things.

1:38.9

One is kind of felt like we were eating in our basement. The ambiance of the restaurant was not

1:43.7

terrific from my point of view. It just felt very dark and buried in the hotel. Now, we were eating in our basement. The ambience of the restaurant was not terrific from my point of view. It just felt very dark and buried in the hotel. Now we were also seated in the bar area, which I think is probably a little bit different than maybe eating elsewhere in the restaurant. And so I am not going to judge the restaurant based on where we were seated. Also, you know, while the food quality was not what I was hoping for in terms of, you know, Indian food, I'm also not going to judge the restaurant this time around necessarily because it's just, you know, it's a weird time. So we will give Sonat another try, but for right now, I would say it's a great spot for bread service and drinks. So with that, look, we left Animal Kingdom. I guess the one tip we will have is on the way out of town. We did stop at Gideons in Orlando, not Gideons at Disney Springs. And if you got an hour to wait around for Gideons in Disney Springs, I'd say, take that hour, hop in your car, if you've got one, and go to the one that's in Orlando, because it's only about a half hour drive from Disney and there was zero line at that Gideons. Now they don't have all of the offerings

2:39.7

of the Gideons and Disney Springs. Some of the coffee offerings aren't there at that Gideon's. They do

2:44.6

have a coffee place right next door that serves practically the same stuff that they serve at the Gideons
