We're talking once again to James

Tully, who's a professor of education policy at the University of Newcastle. And we've talked to him

before. He's written a tremendous book called The Beautiful Tree, a personal journey into how the

world's poorest people are educating themselves. And now he's gotten himself into some hot water in

England itself, where he is introducing the low-cost private school model that he has helped

to chronicle and encourage around the world. He's introducing that into England itself with what he

hopes to be a string of low-cost private schools.

And the usual suspects are up in arms that he's even suggesting the idea, and he's already implementing it.

It's really exciting and important work that he's doing, and I couldn't be happier to have him on once again.
