You know, things aren't going very well for the Disney Corporation of late to say the least.

Just days after Disney market shares dropped to their lowest value in nearly a decade, followed by the announcement of mass, and I do mean mass layoffs.

Now what was supposed to be their big Thanksgiving movie, Strange World, a movie much touted by critics for featuring the first openly gay main character has bombed at the box office.

It was so bad, it was Disney's second worst opening weekend ever.

It crashed with a historically bad opening weekend, and when all is said and done, it's projected to lose Disney upwards of $100 million to make things even worse.

The movie's future prospects are disproportionately bad, precisely because Disney has chosen to skip upwards of 20 international markets.

Markets where LGBT content is either banned or frowned upon, and of course includes the whole of the Middle East, China, Malaysia, Indonesia, Pakistan, Turkey, Southeast Asia, virtually whole of the African continent, and on and on Russia, of course.

It's just another way of saying, when all is said and done, that this movie was an abject disaster.

Now of course, we're already seeing some gaslighting here, one liberal movie critic upset at the movie's failure, tweeted out, quote,

Disney is 100% gonna blame Strange World's inevitable bad box office on the fact that there's an openly gay character in the movie when in reality it's gonna flop, because they didn't market it at all, though uses as an excuse to not have queer rep ever again.

But podcast or Patrick Bat David has a very different perspective on that, here's what he tweeted, quote,

took the kids to the movies today to watch a Disney cartoon called Strange World within 10 minutes of the movie.

My 10 year old son said, Dad, I have no desire to watch this movie, can we leave? We left, the leaders at Disney have forgotten who the paying customer is.

I think we're starting to get the rub, though I would add, I would add, I don't remember any of my sons when they were 10 saying to me,

father, I have no desire to watch this movie any longer, I needed Patrick to raise my kids.

Also, even Jordan Peterson weighed in very much akin to what Patrick had to say, Peterson tweeted out, the variety article detailing the box office disaster with the comment, thank the stars above, for the free market.

The fallout from this box office disaster is happening against the backdrop of Disney's shocking announcement that CEO Bob Chappock had indeed been fired and was being replaced by his predecessor, Bob Eiger, who's being brought back here,

it's no secret that Chappock went full woke, he thought it would be a good idea to pick a fight with Florida governor Ron DeSantis over his signing of House Bill 1557,
