0:08.7	Today I am sharing with you a recorded conversation with a girl named Abby Redmond.
0:14.0	I met Abby through TikTok when I came across a video of her sharing her story about the murder of her little sister, Addison.

0:29.4	I knew I wanted to help get their story out. Abby is the middle child of three kids. She had a little sister, Addison, and has an older brother, Corbin. Addison was only 11 years old when she was
0:35.5	brutally murdered in their family home on the morning of
0:38.3	August 20, 2019, after everyone had left for work and school. Her 15-year-old brother, Corbin,
0:45.9	was the one who found her, and he was also the only one police ever looked into during their
0:51.6	investigation. Being in a very small town in central Michigan,
0:55.7	the police seemed ill-equipped to handle this homicide investigation and the Redmond family
1:01.1	was forced to make an impossible decision, allow their son to go to trial and be charged
1:06.7	as an adult for a crime he did not commit with the possibility of life in prison or take a plea
1:13.7	deal for only two years of probation. This story, like many here on Mama Mystery, points out some very
1:20.3	serious flaws in not only the justice system, but the media as well. The local media never interviewed

1:27.9	so they never had a real opportunity to share their side of the story,
1:31.7	so they didn't get to have a voice in this story until now.
