Uh, today is a conversation with presenter Liz Bonin.

She, I have known it for years.

I knew when she was doing entertainment.

You might know her years ago when she presented the shows like RISE and she did Top

of the Pops and stuff like that.

But she was a biochemist all along and she went back to school.

She came back and she started doing um fascinating

programs really uh documentaries uh all about sort of the climate all about the animal worlds and one of

the big things she did was um a program called drowning in plastic now whenever Liz comes on

Sunday brunch always in the air breaks or before the show there's me and her always

going what about this what about that da da da da and we have these great conversations

which get quite in depth so I said well you do the podcast so we can just come on and

and talk about things and and we had one of those chats today, but we were recording it so you can listen to it.

We did it all about plastics, really, one-use plastics. Liz, as I say on the podcast, has absolutely changed my views on it.

I've always thought it was a bit silly, but Liz has really hammered it home with me.

Or not hammered at home, because she doesn't do that.

She's just really made me conscious for it.

And whenever I'm shopping, I'm looking at the single-use plastics.
