Summary

Highlights:

  • “Flipping the House of Representatives cannot in any way, shape, or form be considered a defeat! Do not let anyone tell you, especially the Murdoch freaks at Fox who had a penchant in 2020 for calling races going for Biden, earlier than they called Florida or Texas, do not let them tell you otherwise!”
  • “In perhaps the most bizarre twist given the reality painted by outlets like National Review and Fox News, it was the avowedly anti-Trump GOP congressmen who are almost totally eliminated this year.”
  • “There’s no question that as of today, Republicans are far stronger than we were a week ago and Democrats are far weaker. And that’s exactly how Dr. du Quenoy ends his article, with this exhortation: ‘The GOP indisputably stands stronger now than it did a week ago. It should stop wringing its hands, disband its circular firing squad, get to work, and keep winning.’”

In titled Cheer Up Republicans, the midterms were actually a success. The GOP should disband its circular firing squad, get to work, and keep winning.

I thought that he put things into precisely the kind of perspective that we should all have coming out of all of this, at the very least so that we can all just collectively laugh at the Republican establishment,

But here's to Quinoa's assessment of why the midterms indeed were a success. First and foremost, we won the house, okay? There's no way around this, and election desk has projected it, by the way.

We flip the house of representatives, and that cannot in any way shape or form be thought of as a defeat.

2:11.0

You know, don't let anyone tell you, especially the Murdoch freaks at Fox, who have a penchant calling 2020 races rather early for Biden earlier than they called Florida in Texas.

2:23.0

Don't let them tell you otherwise. Under Trump's leadership, we won 2016 in a blowout.

The gained seats in the Senate in 2018, Trump was only the fifth president in history to see gains in the Senate during a midterm.

2:38.0

We came within a handful of seats of retaking the house in 2020, and now we've done just that. We've retaken the house in 2022, and that's after having to defend a record number of Senate seats.

2:50.0

We had to defend 21 seats going into this Democrats only had to defend 14. We had to defend over 20, and we lost one.

And in terms of who won in the house, according to this fellow, Dr. Dakinwa, 140 of the confirmed GOP wins in the house, roughly two thirds of the total seats won, denied the results of the 2020 election.
