Hello, everybody. Tom Woods here. I'm talking today to Matt Welch, who is editor at large

of Reason Magazine. And I'd like to just situate this discussion a bit by giving you a little bit

of background. Some time ago, not too terribly long ago, Matt and I both appeared at the same time

on Michael Malice's program, You're Welcome. And we were all in studio and we had a very frank

discussion because, well, let me just say it.

There are different wings of the libertarian movement and they don't always get along so well.

I mean, let's just be open and honest about that.

And Michael just thought that in the case of Matt and me, because he's friends with both of us, there's no reason that there should be any problems.

Now, I don't think Matt and I had ever really interacted one way or the other in the past, and I certainly didn't bear him in particular any ill will.

So I was certainly willing to go and have a nice conversation.

That's precisely what we did.

And at that time, we each agreed when Michael asked if we would be willing to host the other on each other's programs, we both said yes. And Reason TV indeed followed up with me. And we had a very, very
