And it's just me. This is a special episode where, you know, we don't do this.

We don't bring updates all that often or talk about Disney news. But let's be honest, this is a big announcement that Disney made on Sunday night.

We wanted to get something out there.

And as opposed to waiting until Wednesday when our normal episode drops,

we thought, you know what, T.J. loves Bob Eiger. Let's just make him record a quick little

podcast on his phone. So that's what I'm doing. Honestly, it's, it's very exciting for several

reasons.

And I'm going to start off by giving you the basics.

If you don't know, Bob Eiger was the CEO of Disney for over a decade.

And, you know, he has a long history with Disney. He started with ABC and he ran ABC

sports and eventually was acquired by Disney. I mean, we're talking way back in the day. And,

you know, Bob worked his way up, eventually becoming CEO for 15 years and just retired

a couple of years ago. He stayed on as a chairman for a little while as he handed the torch

over to Bob Sheapec, who was fired. I'm going to read the statement put out by Disney on Sunday, and it says

this. It says the Walt Disney company announced today that Robert Eiger is returning to lead Disney

as chief executive officer effective immediately. Iger, who spent more than four decades at the company,

including 15 years as its CEO,

has agreed to serve as Disney's CEO for two years with a mandate from the board to set the

strategic direction for renewed growth and to work closely with the board in developing

a successor to lead the company at the completion of his term.

Eiger succeeds Bob Sheapec, who stepped down from his position.
