This week on hometown ghost stories. Yosemite is known worldwide for its beautiful landscape that includes

waterfalls and massive domes. What many of the park visitors are unaware of are the rumors of hauntings in the park.

From evil spirits that may try to lure you into the falls or waters of Yosemite, to the spirits lurking in the woods,

menacingly calling out your name. The entire park of Yosemite might not only be haunted, but cursed.

O'Keno was searching frantically for her friendianney at the top of Bridevale Falls.

They were out collecting material for basket weaving and had decided to brave the trip up,

even with all the warnings the elders had given them about going there.

The girls wanted very specific material, though, and knew this was the only place to get it.

As Okina dashed around the trees, her calls began to get drowned out more and more by the falling waters nearby.

The warnings kept racing to the front of her mind.

Stay away from the falls, Po Hono will lure you over the edge.

Her grandmother had told her many times from childhood, up until her passing.

The tribe as a whole, for the most part, heated this warning, only venturing up in big groups,

if they absolutely had to.

The legend of Po Hono, along with instances that had occurred

several generations before, made the tribe respect the boundaries. Okana tossed her collected

materials to the side and yelled louder and louder into the void as she continued towards the

sound of the crashing water.

Now the actual legend of Pohono began to play in her mind.
