Hey everybody, Tom Woods here. John McCain is our topic for today. Scott Horton is with me. We're going to talk

about John McCain's foreign policy legacy, and I know the maturity level of the listening

audience here is high enough that we are still permitted to discuss his foreign policy legacy,

even though he recently died. I think in a way, especially because he

recently died, and there is a weird, almost cultish effort to portray him as this platonic statesman

whose wisdom we ought to look up to and admire, I think it's kind of important to interrupt that a bit.

And people will say, oh, but show him respect.

You know, he suffered before he died.

I don't like to see anybody suffer.

But that's not really the point.

People are already citing his legacy to justify more bellicosity.

Well, in honor of John McCain, we ought to go do X and Y. Well, why should I have one hand tied behind my back in that argument? I think we need to be honest and forthright in assessing his legacy.
