Hi, this is Josh Marshall, and this is the Josh Marshall podcast. We are still in

quarantine mode. I guess like the whole country is is still in quarantine mode and

yet not totally in quarantine mode we have you know across the country the

reopening of society is has been the story for the last couple weeks now.

And it's important to note that it's no longer just Georgia or you know

something the governor of Mississippi or Alabama saying this isn't you

know this doesn't fit with our culture it's happening everywhere and I think it is

it is clear this is not this is not just a crazy thing that Trump

accolites are doing. The country is experimenting in figuring out how we can conduct some sort of semi-normal social and

economic life while we still have this disease that is, you know, abroad in the land and still

infecting people. The statistics nationally for the last week or ten days have The I mean it's, it's, it's, it's,

last week or 10 days have been somewhat encouraging.

The, I mean, it's, it shows what a strange time we are in that having only five or six hundred people die in one day

across the country actually is is good news that's down from 1500. There were some days a few weeks ago where approaching 2,500 people died each day.

So all this is happening and we're going to get down into all of this
