Hi, everybody. Tom Woods here. Emily Horowitz is with us today. She teaches at St. Francis

College in Brooklyn, and she is the author of a book called Protecting Our Kids, question

mark, how sex offender laws are failing us. I first found out about Emily Horowitz when I saw her debate at the Soho

Forum. I was not there in person, but I saw the video. She debated the resolution that the

sex offender registry should be abolished. And that's a topic I hadn't ever really given much thought

to. I more or less like most people just

assume that the situation we have is probably not too objectionable. But then when I listened to

her debate, I realized she was raising questions I really had not considered before. And suddenly

I found myself having to think about it. And she was the decisive victor in that debate.

They measure it by the shift in audience opinion.

So it really made me think, you know what, let's talk this through and let's see what the

truth of the matter is.

You know, it's a controversial question, and it's, I don't want to run away from it.
