Cindy clutched her purse as she approached the Monroe Street Bridge.

The sound of the flowing water roared to her right as she took a big breath and stepped onto the bridge.

Her car had broken down a week before, and she was now walking to and from work.

Cindy made a mental note to call the shop in the morning to see how much longer it would take until the car could drive again.

The moon hung overhead on an unusually cooler night.

The weather must have been keeping people indoors, as she didn't see anyone else on the bridge

and only one car had passed her.

As she approached the first set of columns on the bridge, she began to read the graffiti left

on by Sharpies and cans of spray paint.

She was laughing at a rather long rambling one about finding the culprit who stole a certain bike

when one to her right caught her attention.

In fact, Cindy stopped in her tracks to read it.
