Now we've been doing this show for a while so you probably know what it is if you've heard

it before if you haven't real quickly on the TV show, we have incredible expert guests from the round

of the world of activism and science and journalism and authors and cool people like that on the TV

show.

We only talk to them for like 90 seconds.

Here I come and we talk to them for 45 minutes, perhaps even an hour, once, even 90 minutes. And everyone agreed that that was too long, but the conversation was really interesting and you know, maybe we'll have to cut it down you never know but

we talked to them in a longer format because every time I talked to them on set and every time I meet them

I found myself overfilling overflowing overfilling overfilling and overflowing with questions and ideas and thoughts and I just wanted to talk to them more and that's where the idea for this podcast came from and that's what we're going to do today. So who are we talking today? Well, if you saw the housing

episode of Adam Ruins Everything, which by the way was our mid-season hiatus, we're taking about a month off,

and we'll be back with new episodes in November, but if you saw the housing episode of Adam Ruins Everything,

you probably remember the segment we did on homelessness and the best way to address

that problem. And in that segment we talked to two incredible people Rudy Salinas and Dorothy Edwards

and that's who's on the show today. Rudy is the program director for Housing Works LA

which provides equal and fair access to housing and human services for people with

limited income and we are so lucky to be talking to Dorothy as well,

who is homeless herself for 15 years,

and now works as a homeless advocate

at Housing Works LA with Rudy.
