They're all pretty darn good if you ask me, but you got to listen to

this one. This is the opening talk I delivered at Mezes University this year. Now, if you're a

new listener, you may not know about the Meeses Institute, named after economist Ludwig von Mezes.

The most important place in the world to me, basically, is the Meises Institute. And there's been a little bit of,

you know, there's some inside baseball in this talk, let's just say. But the main theme of the talk

is in gratitude. And I'm arguing that socialists are guilty of this when they fail to appreciate

the absolutely mind-boggling progress that's been made for mankind and for the poor in

particular by capitalism. That's just downright ingratitude. But then I also talk about some

libertarians who are grotesquely ungrateful toward benefactors and great contributors to this movement.

And kind of the implication of what I'm saying, and I'm going to censor myself here with,

I'll say a word that you can hear in front of your kids, I guess, but not a word that you'd

want to shield their ears for, I guess.

I'll just say this.

It's more important not to be a crappy person, even than it is to be a libertarian.

Just don't be a total piece of crap is what I'm trying to say.
