Hey gang, Dr. Steve here with you a special weekend video from your patron professor. Obviously the world woke up this morning to news of a massive explosion on the Russia Crimea bridge, the Crimea bridge is actually the longest bridge in Europe.

It was very controversial among NATO powers when it was being built. It's a relatively new bridge. It opened up, I believe in 2018, as a symbol of Russia's permanent annexation of Crimea, and NATO powers tried to make the argument that building it was some kind of violation of international law and the like, but to no avail Russia didn't anyway.

Well now the bridge has been attacked, and the culprit appears to be a freight truck which exploded next to a supply train that was carrying fuel. It was a massive explosion, as you saw at least three people, civilians were killed in the blast, and I think there are two huge takeaways from what happened this morning, and they represent two major inversions, two reversals that are happening right before our eyes in the Ukrainian conflict.

The first and I would say actually the most bizarre one is that it now appears that the West is championing terrorist attacks. Explosions like the one that happened on the Crimea bridge killing civilians, they were once universally denounced by Western powers in the Western media.

Today, news of it is being greeted with cheerleading and celebration. This is what the Ukrainian government wrote. This is being reported from the BBC. An advisor to Ukraine's president Vladimir Zelensky did not directly claim Ukrainian responsibility, but wrote, Crimea, the bridge, the beginning.

Everything illegal must be destroyed, everything stolen must be returned to Ukraine, everything occupied by Russia must be expelled. Ukraine's defense ministry compared the bridge explosion of the sinking of Russia's Russia's Moskva missile cruiser in April.

Two notorious symbols of Russian power in Ukrainian Crimea have gone down, he tweeted, what's next in line? Ukrainian government itself simply tweeted, sick burn.

So there you have it, I mean the government that's been gifted with hundreds of billions of dollars of Western money and weaponry is now celebrating what appears to be a universally recognized terrorist attack.

Now I find this so interesting because we're in October right, the Halloween season, and I've done videos in the past on the theology of horror, what makes for a good horror story.

And one of the recurring themes that comes back from the masterpieces of horror is how we end up becoming the monsters that we supposedly fear.

The drama of a good horror movie or a story often involves how we can defeat our monsters without becoming one of them.

Let's just say when it comes to the liberal leadership that dominates NATO right now, they ain't doing a very good job of that.

When this, the Russian geopolitical philosopher Alexander Dougan's daughter was killed.

I mean the Western mainstream media basically said, well, that's what you get for being Putin's brain.

So this isn't the first time we've seen this, right? And by the way, Dougan isn't Putin's brain.

But I think this inversion is a very, very concerning thing. The West is now cheerleading terrorism.

Like I pointed out with Dougan, this is not the first time. So that's a very concerning development.

But a second inversion is happening. It's even more consequential. And that inversion is now Russia is the nation that's being invaded.
