I'm here in Queens right across the river from Manhattan, where I was this morning to catch up with Keaton Wogler, who is going through all his pre-draft activities, getting ready for the biggest night of his life, where Keaton Wigler will the third O'I&I in the modern era.

I'd make that the NBA-A-B-A merger in 1976, but really the third one since the 1960s to be

a top 10 NBA draft pick.

Barring a big surprise, Keaton Wagoner expected to go somewhere between 5 and 10.

He sounds pretty confident it's going to be on the higher end of that,

but you never know until you get to draft night.

But we are going to talk about it with one of the other former top 10 NBA draft picks

in Illinois history, Kendall Gill, the number five pick in the 1990 NBA draft

to the Charlotte Hornets and a former

Olinite, All-American Al-A-Grikes, helped lead him to the final four in 1989.

Kendall Gill, kind enough to join us to talk about what it's like to be an Al-Inii player who

gets the NBA draft in New York City and has that moment, what that's like with him and his family, what that's like to start your career, and what it's like with all these other prospects you kind of grew up playing with. So I was really fun to catch up with Kendall Gill. He talks about Keaton's game, why he thinks it translates to the NBA, why he thinks he'll have success. Colin Boshoel, if he thinks he can find a way to latch on to an NBA team.

Then we talk a little bit about the NBA Bulls, excuse me, who have some hope for the first

time in a while after getting some lottery luck, getting up to the number four pick and what

many consider a four-person top of the draft, likely Caleb Wilson,

but obviously Cam Boozer, AJ DeBonce, Darren Peterson in that mix as well.

So the Bulls with a chance to add a top talent and then a chance to add another talent

at number 15 in the draft.

We also talk to Kendall a little bit about Dusty May leaving Michigan for the Dallas Mavericks.

We'll probably dive into that in our next podcast a little bit more with Kyle Toss, either on Tuesday night or Wednesday, to react to where Keith and Wagoner's destination is.
