Hi, everybody, Tom Woods here. We're talking today about special jurisdictions, that is to say,

things like sea steds or liberland, which is that interesting country we probably should get

an update on, or special economic zones or whatever, little areas where people are allowed more

freedom than they otherwise would be, where they can operate, let's say, outside the realm of

at least a great deal of the regulation and taxation that exists in other parts of the world

and other parts of that very society.

And our guest today, Tom W. Bell, has written a book on this called Your Next Government,

question mark, from the nation state to stateless nations, published by Cambridge University Press. Tom W. Bell earned his JD from the University of Chicago, then practiced law,

and then served as a policy director

at the Cato Institute. And then 20 years ago, he joined the faculty of Chapman University, the

school of law there, where he continues to teach to this day. Tom, welcome. Thank you. Thank you

for having me. You're covering a wide array of topics within this overall concept here in the book, and it looks to me like a good deal of this is material that you've published in scholarly journals, but obviously it's surrounding a theme, and you've brought it all together.

So give us the bird's eye overview of what you're seeking to accomplish in this book, and then we'll get
