As a relative newcomer to the fishing industry,

Jonathan has no problem admitting that he's here to bring the entertainment.

He is tattooed, gold tooth, cheeky, and outspoken.

In this episode of Ancord, I sit down with Jonathan to discuss his why, Australia's flats fishing and state of the fly fishing culture down under.

Can you just explain to people where Manly is?

Yep, so Manley is located on the East Coast of New South Wales, I think you call it adjacent to Bondi.

Okay, so not far out of Sydney though.

Not at all.

I live in Manley Beach, half of the year with my husband.

It is a lot different than my other home in northern BC.

It's quite busy.

And I also hear that it didn't always used to be like this. I actually heard that Manley used to be a little more run down and now it's it's bumping. I mean you can't get parking around here. It's like Tourist Central it's a surf city. Yeah, we had one of the I think it was the top five most violent pubs in Australia. Was that the stain? The stain, yeah. Growing up as a kid, you heard a lot about it.

Yeah, yeah. Actually, I did hear a lot about that when I moved here. There are a few, people don't know, but if you look in the
