The air we breathe, the soil we have, the water we drink.

It's the kind of situation where you're just not merely a private actor.

You're not sitting in your home, you know, ingesting whatever chemical you want, right?

Like a train derails, it affects everybody around it and like could affect people hundreds of miles away,

depending on where the water flows, where the wind flows, etc.

And so this is an area where we should be really stringent about what we ask companies.

We don't want to be impractical, but they have a civic responsibility not to cause pollution.
