Hey, folks, John Calapary found himself in an awkward spot yesterday after saying, and I quote,

about Kentucky, this is a basketball school. It's always been that Alabama's a football school,

and so is Georgia. Now, I hope the team football team wins 10 games, but this is a basketball school,

and we need to keep pushing in that direction. And that got an instant reaction on social media

from Kentucky head football coach Mark Stoops, who said, basketball school, I thought we competed

in the SEC. Now, there's a lot to unpack here. First off, Cal is right. Kentucky is a basketball school.

But why are you up here causing problems for no reason? I also know the sun is the star,

and not to walk into traffic. I don't need you to tell me obvious things, let alone disrespect

the entire football program. Now, some Kentucky fans will say that he said this because he wants

a new practice facility upgrade ASAP. But if Kentucky was such a basketball school, why is Coach Cal out

here having the beg for it like Oliver Twist? In my eyes, if you're having to convince the people

at Kentucky to give you a new practice facility for basketball, then it must not be going great.

And if you look at what Cal has actually accomplished at Kentucky recently,

he isn't exactly bawling out. Nobody has done less with more than John Calipari.

Kentucky basketball recruits itself and has more tradition than the entire country of Ireland,

yet Cal only has one championship since he took over the job in 2009. They haven't been to

a final four since 2015 and just got bounced out in the first round by a school in St. Peter's
