0:55.7	And we can only hope that whenever their time comes, their transition into the afterlife is peaceful, but unfortunately that won't be the case for everyone,
1:07.6	especially for Oliver Northup and Claudia Malpin.
1:11.9	The two were married and lived in Davis, California.
1:15.3	Oliver was 87 years old and Claudia was 76. They had worked hard throughout their lives. They had a loving family with children, grandchildren, and even great-grandchildren.
1:30.0	Oliver spent his free time playing folk music with his band, The Puda Creek Crawdads, which he started back in the 1960s.
1:38.6	And Claudia enjoyed working with their local theater.
1:42.4	As they got older, they were still
1:44.7	enjoying all life had to offer, soaking up every second until they had to face the
1:50.8	inevitable. After living such long and happy lives, Oliver and Claudia deserved a natural and peaceful
1:58.1	death surrounded by their loved ones, but instead they would face unimaginable pain and torture at the hands of their 15-year-old
2:08.3	neighbor Daniel Marsh.
2:10.9	Oliver and Claudia had never met their killer, and he chose them at random simply because a window to their home had been left open.
