Summary

The Galactic Council is just as into tournament season as we are, and as such they have voted for us to do an episode all about Tournament Drafting. We did an episode recently where we went over this year’s Draft Rules, but we didn’t get to expand on what those rules might result in. So today, we do a handful of Mock Drafts just to get a better look at what kind of strategic thoughts come up with drafting and what games can look like on the other side.   After that, there are TOURNAMENT UPDATES. We had three games by the time of this recording, so we have to talk about what happened. And AFTER THAT, there is three weeks worth of errata to make up for! This one is a chunker, so prepare your brain for two and a half hours of SCPT! Music provided by Ben Prunty. Find more at benpruntymusic.com or benprunty.bandcamp.com   Join in on the discussion here, on our Discord, or at our Board Game Geek Guild. Connect with us on Facebook and Twitter. And send us your in game moments for Play of the Week! and This Imperium Life at [email protected] We appreciate all of the feedback and discussion, but there are more ways you can contribute! Hey, Hunter and I are doing something really, really cool coming up.

On January 16th, the Oath Kickstarter is kind of jumping off,

1:01.3

and Leader Games has invited us to come hang out with Cole Worley,

1:06.5

as well as popular board game personality, The Meeple Lady,

1:10.2

and we're going to play Oath live on Tabletop Simulator with Cole Worley on their live stream at 6 p.m. Central Standard Time, January 16th.

1:22.2

And we would love it if you came out and showed the Space Cat support,

1:26.4

but also came and checked out this awesome game that we're like kind of wickedly excited for and really excited to be like partnering up more and more with leader games and just doing stuff with them. We're actually going to after that stream because Oath operates, if you listened to the Oath interview with Cole Worley, Oath operates as kind of a

pseudo legacy-ish game where future sessions remember previous sessions that you played, which means

1:53.0

for the next three weeks after January 16th, we are going to continue playing Oath live on stream.

2:01.0

We won't be playing with Cole Worley or Mipi Lady, most likely after that.

2:04.9

But Hunter and I and then some other guests will, every Saturday, we don't have an exact set time for that yet.

2:11.1

But every Saturday after January 16th for three or four weeks, we will be streaming more playthrows of oath so that you can see

2:19.4

how the game kind of changes from session to session based on what happens in previous sessions.

2:24.9

We'll do little overviews of what previous sessions have done and kind of show you what the
