Okay, so late last night, President Trump tweeted out that he was going to allow Emily Murphy, who is the head of General Services Administration, to move forward with the transition for Joe Biden. This doesn't mean he has dropped his legal challenges. It does mean that he is not going to be, as I have suggested before, holling up in the Oval Office, snorting blow and firing machine guns through the door, a la the most fevered fantasies of the members of the media. This was always a fantasy. Members of the media were under the grave misimpression that

President Trump was going to string barbed wire around the White House, and they were going to

get the glorious image of people with uniforms and guns going in and frog marching Trump out of the

White House. This was always wish fulfillment by Democrats. It was always fantasy by Democrats.

And President Trump blew up that fantasy last night when he said, listen, you know, my legal challenges are still ongoing here. But there will be an orderly transition of power no matter what happens. He tweeted out, I want to thank Emily Murphy at GSA for her steadfast dedication and loyalty to our country. She has been harassed, threatened, and abused. And I do not want to see this happen to her family or employees of GSA.

Our case strongly continues. We'll keep up the good fight. I believe we will prevail. Nevertheless, in the best interest of our country, I'm recommending that Emily and her team do what needs to be done with regard to initial protocols and have told my team to do the same, which, of course, is the appropriate move. he is not holding up the transition of power that is supposed to happen. Now, the way the Washington

Post suggests is that Emily Murphy had done something deeply wrong by not starting the transition earlier. The problem, of course, is that none of the states had certified their votes as of last week. Now the states are starting to certify their votes. The electors don't even meet until the middle of December. So she really did not have any legal grounds to do so without the formal concession of the president of the United States in the race. She is a person who

holds a government office and she is bound by the law. And until the president concedes,
