I think most Americans, when they hear the platitudes that are thrown around in our politics around policing, whether it's back to blue or defund the police, most people have way more complex views of police than those two slogans.

And that was a sentiment that as he expressed it, got clear bipartisan support in that chamber.

Well, Ricky, you were just telling me offline a rather fascinating celebrity encounter that you just had.

Yeah.

This was over the weekend.

I saw Sarah Jessica Parker out and about in the city.

And those who have heard, I am one of the very few people who actually is a fan of the reboot of Sex and the City.

It was like my favorite show before I moved here,

watched everything, binged everything. I'm kind of manifesting my Carrie Bradshaw life here as a journalist

in New York. And I ran into her and I was like, this is my moment to get an interview. And so I said,

I'm with The New York Post. And I know that the show's coming out. The second season, would you want to do an interview? And so I said, I'm with the New York Post. And I know that the show's coming

out. The second season, would you want to do an interview? And she said, yeah. And so we're doing a

long form in her descriptor intimate interview, which is very exciting for me. And so you just,

when you see her and she just agrees on the spot, how do you follow up? Did she give you her number?

No, I'm emailing her PR people yeah i had my little post press pass so you know i get the the new york post uh credits and yeah it was it's exciting for me it's very dorky i know it's very

basic of me but i am um quite a big fan of hers. So I'm glad that I was

kind of obnoxious and gritty, but she seemed to have not minded. How do you feel about the

reboot phenomenon generally? I'm not hugely a fan of reboots in general. I found it to be interesting, though, like, given how

you have these woke politically correct new tides. Where's the wokeness coming in?
