0:39.7	not unrelated but related. Okay. Trump administration agreeing to deliver more student loan
0:47.6	forgiveness. What a headline that one is. The outcome is a result of an agreement reached on Friday between the U.S.
0:56.1	Department of Education and the American Federation of Teachers, Teachers Union. And in the agreement,
1:03.4	Trump administration said it will begin processed student loan forgiveness for eligible borrowers
1:08.4	to income-driven repayment plans, the original income
1:11.8	contingent repayment plan, and the pay-as-you-earn plan as long as those programs remain in effect.
1:19.1	In the agreement with the AFT, the Trump administration also clarified that borrowers who
1:22.7	become eligible for student loan forgiveness in 2025 won't owe federal taxes on the relief,
1:27.3	a law that provides
1:29.1	a tax-free treatment on the federal level for canceled education debt that expires at the end of
1:34.7	this year. So basically what we're looking at is the Trump administration and teachers unions got
1:40.0	together and they said, hey, how can we work on this student loan forgiveness thing?
