Welcome back for another episode of Reality Life with KKC, and you guys, I've been so excited

about this episode.

For the last 14 years, I've been watching Sister Wives, like many of you. And over the course of all of the years I've had this podcast, I've been very eager to talk to Janelle Brown, one of the sister wives. And today is the day. The show, as you know, has detailed the lives of a polygamous family. And that includes husband Cody, his wife Robin, and ex-wives,

Mary, Janelle, and Christine. They stated that they participate in the show to make the public

aware of polygamous families and to combat societal prejudices. So here's a little bit of the

background of the family for context. Cody and Mary met in October of 1989.

Both Mary and Cody grew up in religious homes,

but Mary was raised in a polygamous family,

while Cody was raised in a monogamous family.

Both were open to the idea of living in a polygamous relationship,

especially due to their religious backgrounds.

After marrying legally in 1990, the couple lived in monogamy for a few years before Cody brought

in Janelle. Mary and Cody welcomed their only child in 1995, and though the pair continued to

try to have another child, other pregnancies were unsuccessful for Mary.
