The task of the market maker is when you go in and say, where can I buy and sell different options,

I'm giving you a price on both sides.

And in addition to his well-honed spidey senses, Ryan's mathematical way of viewing the world

lends itself very well to trading options.

Especially because I trade options, and almost exclusively options, it does a lot with math,

and a lot with calculus,

and it gets really into the derivative aspect of the math.
