Hi, this is Josh Marshall and this is the Josh Marshall podcast.

This is our third episode when we are doing this remote.

I was just thinking this morning that this is two weeks

since we as an organization have been all on remote work. And we started this it sort of seemed like

Oh, you know kind of ahead of the curve, you know, you think that's an example, you know, you think that's

overdoing it or something, you know, having everybody working remote and obviously things have moved pretty rapidly since then the whole large sections of the country.

I actually saw a I was seeing this this statistic that something

like you know a significant portion of the global population is under some kind of lockdown.

Yeah.

Right.

India just announced their population of like 1.3 billion people is basically locked down.

So it's funny I have this sense that the number I heard was like 1.3 billion

but it has to be a lot more than that

because most of Europe is on lockdown.

No, I'm talking about just India alone.

Right, no, that's what I'm saying.

So clearly if all of India is on a lockdown and that's 1.3 billion, a significant amount of China is still on some kind of lockdown

although they're opening things up a lot of the US it it seems like it must be

something close seems like it must be something closer to a third or maybe even approaching half of the world population. Obviously lockdown can

mean a lot of different things.
