Hey, everybody, Tom Woods here. I've got a student here with me today, Anthony Rosemaisal.

He is an undergraduate studying economics at Grove City College, and he's written a paper

on blockchain technology and what its applications might be outside the world of

cryptocurrencies. Now, it's funny, 15 years ago, this would have all been

nonsensical. No one could understand a word I just said. But all of a sudden, there is a

tremendous amount of interest in this. And I want to have Anthony on, in particular, because,

well, he happened to win first prize, as we'll mention in our conversation, no doubt. At the Austrian Student Scholars

Conference, they have cash prizes for the top three papers. And this year, there was a potential

shortfall in funding. And I believe strongly in this conference that it's a very important

transmission belt for young people to have an opportunity to deliver a paper.

It exposes them to people in our tradition of Austrian economics.

And I didn't want the conference not to take place.
