Hey, welcome to the Team VTAC podcast. I am here with Jesse Betcher, retired command

sergeant major, Jesse Betcher, one of the dudes that I served with for many years. I don't

say this to all the girls, but one of my favorite dudes in the unit of all time, I've got

about, there's about three dudes and I'll tell you who two of them are. You and

Chile. So you're in pretty good company there with my man, with my man, Chile. So welcome,

Jesse. Alright, Kyle. Hey, it's a real pleasure to be here. I will say that over the past

a couple of years, I haven't really had a lot to look forward to. I've just been kind of

in a weird place, but I've been like, I could hardly sleep last now. I was so excited

to be here and do this. And I just hope that, you know, I know you have some pretty top

notch, you know, a quality guest. So you got the, the B guest now. So hopefully I don't

embarrass you or bring your ratings down at all. Yeah, I'm trying to think back to some

of the guys we've had. And I think is not very many of our guests can stack up to the

pedigree that you have as a military dude. So this is going to be fun to talk about. You

know, I'm not trying to bro smoke up your skirt there, but this, this is, this will be good.

So Jesse, you were in the army for how many years? Well, right around 27 years, nine months,

19 days. Okay. So he's pretty precise on most of his calculations. So I would not, I

would not even double check that because I know it's absolutely right. Retired as a

command sergeant major, when you first went in the military. So what, what year did you

go in? So I went in, I graduated high school in 1988 and then moved to Hawaii and absolutely

hated it and was looking for a way to get off that miserable island. So like, I'll join

the military, but I don't want to be full time dudes. I'm like, I'll just join the reserves.
