okay so big news of the day yesterday is that president trump made his grand return to the white house

and it was a return

with style. See, this is the thing that Trump is best at. He is best at the imagery. He is best

at the sort of reality TV of the presidency. Now, is it always appropriate? No. Is sometimes

it very, very weird? Sure. But the guy definitely knows how to do imagery. We're going to get to

the imagery, the pure, imagistic magnificence of the president disembarking from the helicopter and going into the White House yesterday.

But that was actually not the first controversy of the day yesterday, if we were going to recount controversies.

The first controversy of the day is that Trump tweeted optimistically, and you are apparently no longer allowed to do this. So Trump tweeted out yesterday, I will be leaving the great Walter Reed Medical Center today at 6.30 p.m. Feeling really good. Don't be afraid of COVID. Don't let it dominate your life. We have developed under the Trump administration some really great drugs and knowledge. I feel better than I did 20 years ago. Well, probably that has less to do with the COVID than it has to do with, you know, going like three full days without the Diet Coke and the hot wings. But with that said, when Trump says, don't be afraid of COVID, this is what set people off. So he is correct that you shouldn't be afraid to live your life. The problem is that there are a lot of people who kind of should be afraid of COVID.
