impressive knowledge of Snoop Dog. But we're going to start, though, by doing the United States

of booze. One of the things we try to do on the show is we try to get less distracted by sort of the

And try to bring you, you know, things that actually matter, or interesting about our society, our culture.

It's sort of trying to move it along on that front.

It's not always easy because I think, you know, there's a lot of splashy stuff

that does really well in social media. But like sometimes things happen and we don't even

notice them because of all that craziness that's out there. And this is, I think, a case.

This is sort of an amazing development. U.S. drinking has dropped to a new low, according to a

brand new Gallup poll.

This is consistent with other research suggesting young people are drinking less.

The annual monitoring the future survey, a national poll of substance use has shown a significant decline in young people's drinking over the last decade.

And it's sort of a societal trend that's been going on, you know, under the current kind of, like not being affected by our day-to-day politics.

It's just happening and it is a, I think, a move in really the right direction.
