Well, I have always been a huge fan of the underdog.

Whether it's in sports or movies or real life, there's just something so compelling about

those who persevere against all odds or have an absolutely amazing comeback

story. And one of those unlikely heroines in scripture is called Rahab the prostitute.

Now what we do know about Rahab is that she was indeed a prostitute in the Canaanite city

of Jericho, a city infamous for idol worship and lots of other wicked

stuff. But when two Israelite spies showed up on her doorstep, she let them know. She believed

their God was the one true God, which is why she vowed to lie to her city leaders and keep

the Israelites hidden if they promised to protect her family in return.

Now, there's a lot about the story we just don't know.
