0:13.1	from a hotel room. For those that aren't familiar, my husband and I with our family live in
0:17.4	Southern California, and there have been some very insane wildfires
0:22.3	that have broken out. In fact, this isn't new. We've had to, we've been evacuated of our house
0:27.6	before, but never like this. So this week, we all get emergency notifications on our phone
0:35.1	that we are being evacuated. And so we grab what we can
0:40.0	and me being the very good Christian, God-faring woman that I am, grab my dog, my makeup bag,
0:47.3	my fake eyelashes, my wedding ring, and my laptop. No in there, I did not take my Bible or my journal, but I'd like to say that the
0:56.9	word of God is hidden in my heart and the Lord will bring to mind what I need to know as my
1:01.8	lovely excuse, but let's just say this week has been crazy. But I also think that this episode
1:07.4	from this week's podcast is so apropos, mostly because I got to do this alongside of my
1:12.8	husband. So Matt and I have been married 10 years. This year we celebrated 10 years of marriage.
1:18.5	And one of the things that has been a huge learning curve for us is what it looks like to lead
1:24.3	together. Now, there's a lot of couples that are called individually,
1:27.5	and that's amazing. But I also think that there is a whole other dynamic that happens when
1:33.6	you co-lead with someone. So my husband and I launched a church, the Father's House Orange County.
1:39.9	I think I say this on every episode, but like, whatever, you're getting it again.
1:50.3	We launched a church in 2018, and we just celebrated two years of our church, and it has been an adventure. I liken it to birthing a baby, and so every aspect that a mom brings and every aspect
1:56.6	that a dad brings, it's just a different dynamic. What we realized, not just in church planning,
2:01.2	but we also realized at the beginning of quarantine and what has gone on with coronavirus,
2:07.7	is, it's revealed a lot about our marriage, but more so it's revealed a lot about our leadership.
