Hey guys, welcome back to the show.

Today we're going to be talking about the titillating world of minimum wage policy.

Are you excited? I know I am.

Now minimum wage is one of those issues like immigration that's always there.

It never really goes away.

Countries like the US and Canada have had minimum wage laws on the books for quite a while now, and as long as those have existed,

there have been people out there saying, no, the minimum wage needs to be higher, and there have also been people out there saying no should probably stay the same

maybe even go away entirely that's not so much of a popular argument right now but still

for decades and across multiple countries there's been a conversation about whether or not to raise the minimum wage.

And in the US, at least the debate over minimum wage is being pushed back into the spotlight since a number of prominent left-wing political figures are now using their platforms

to advocate for raising it.

For example, Home Girl AOC recently tweeted that Quasons at LaGuardia are going

for $7 a piece, shocked emoji.

Yet some people think getting a whole hour of personal dedicated human labor

for $15 is too expensive? Question Mark?

To which she added to, after getting a healthy amount of criticism, including from yours

truly, GOP taking every tweet so earnestly, making my point for me. It's not an argument against the price of

a quasant, it's about the value of human worth. But I guess that idea is foreign to them since their

policies treat people as disposable anyway.

And recently, Kamala Harris, who hopes to become the Democratic presidential candidate in

2020, tweeted,

as president, I will raise the minimum wage to $15 an hour and make sure it's a living wage.
