| 0:00.0 | Hello everyone and welcome to Decoding TV, a podcast about television. |
| 0:04.0 | I'm David Chen and joining me as usual is Patrick Leppick. |
| 0:07.8 | Patrick, I don't know about you, but after we discussed the Pitt season two finale last week, |
| 0:12.7 | it feels like there's been just multiple additional waves of discourse around it. |
| 0:18.7 | Have you experienced this at all? |
| 0:19.9 | I've seen like Roxanna Had, Roxanna Haddadi is writing |
| 0:23.1 | pieces and Catherine Van Erdog is writing pieces and Noah Wiley's given like six interviews about it. |
| 0:29.2 | Has this intercepted your world, caught your eye at all? It is. And I will take this with the big |
| 0:34.7 | emptiness in my heart that is no more episodes of the pit. |
| 0:38.3 | So I need to fill it with something, David. |
| 0:40.7 | Discourse doesn't, it doesn't feel as satisfying necessarily as a new episode, but I will, |
| 0:45.4 | I will take what I can get. |
| 0:46.7 | But it does, it really seems like this show has hit a critical mass. |
| 0:52.4 | And I mean that in terms of the seriousness which with it's covered. |
| 0:56.0 | It seems like that sort of fan, like dissecting the fandom is like a season long arc that is culminating in a lot of, I mean, there have been interviews as the series is going on, but there was just obviously just a lot of stuff tied to the finale where people can, you know, speak more freely about this season, the way the fandom has exploded. And it's just, it's really, it's really interesting. There's a lot, a lot of maybe eyebrow raising things that have been said, but a lot of really insightful things that have been said by a lot of great critics and folks involved in in the pit. |
| 1:28.5 | So it's been it's been interesting to watch, I guess is what I'll say. |
| 1:32.1 | Definitely. |
| 1:32.9 | So today on the podcast, we got a show of the week that's Margo's Got Money Troubles. |
| 1:38.4 | And then we got a little bit of TV news. |
| 1:40.1 | We might have some pit related stuff to talk about during the TV news segment. |
| 1:43.3 | And then we're going to do our weekly recap of Euphoria season three episode two. And then right at the very end, we'll do a little bit of pit two spoilery follow up. So I just want to let people know to be ready for that. Like at the very, very end of the podcast, after Euphoria stuff, we'll do a little pit season two spoilery stuff that I want to follow up on from our conversation. |
| 2:03.6 | So that is what is in store for today on Decoding TV. |
