I just finished the new Ted Chang book.

Ooh. Um, called Exhalation.

Sci-Fi. People might remember his first book because it contained the book the short story story of your life

be like that's what it's called that the movie Arrival was based on which I had

read previous to Arrival and then was so excited for Arrival and I feel like Arrival lived up to the hyper of the short story.

Great fucking movie.

Yeah.

This is a similar like short story book with all sorts of interesting short stories, some near future, some very

science fictionies, some bordering on fantasy. And they're great. One in

particular really struck me which was about a world in which we get these

prison, prisons. That's the topic of the show today. A world in which we get, we all can get these prisms that basically can take you

to an alternate universe where you can talk to a version of yourself that's

made different decisions of you than you have and And you get one based like on the time

you make this important decision like, oh,

should I marry this person or not?

And you can go talk to a person,

the version of yourself that did marry this person
