victory defeat Maryland 24 to 6 Illinois now is one back-to-back games at home

with a Rutgers and Maryland and Maryland reeling right now six straight losses get

just six points against Aaron Henry's defense we'll break down the hits and misses in this one, including a strong run game.

With Goldmire being a big part of that.

We'll break down some key performances from players.

It'll break down some misses because there were.

This wasn't the cleanest game for Illinois.

Joey, it wasn't the prettiest game today.

But on a day where Michigan got scared by Northwestern, there's been some closer games

and expected Wisconsin was competing with Indiana for at least a half today.

Illinois takes care of business.

They keep a bad team, a bad team today.

Yeah, Illinois won despite one side of the ball not playing very clean and very strong football.

And the thing is, is it's just been different than what we've seen, right?

It was the offense today that just didn't look particularly crisp at times.

I say that they scored 24 points.

I didn't really feel like the game was ever that much in jeopardy had that 96-yard touch or drive by

Maryland and ended up getting in the end zone. Then, of course, you're talking a little bit.

I thought the defense, I get it. You've not played two particularly great offenses relative to

what you've seen earlier in the year, but the defense is playing well against offenses that are struggling. And I didn't know that we would be talking about that after leaving Seattle. So, I mean, you got to tip the hat to the defense taking what's there and getting out of here at the game that the offense didn't play. It's best game. Yeah. And Joey, you have a chance now. And today was kind of a reminder that these last three games, Illinois is favored.
