David Stockman from 1981 to 1985 was the director of the

Office of Management and Budget under President Reagan. Before that, he had served in Congress.

They seem to think that this tax bill victory changed the game and put him back in the saddle.

But I think there's less there that meets the eye.

This bill was passed in desperation by the congressional Republicans because they want to have something they can campaign on to say,

this is the Republican agenda.
