What a monster victory in front of an awesome crowd and what a college basketball game

as Illinois takes a 13-point halftime lead, blows it in eight minutes as JT. Topping goes

wild, the All-American reigning Big 12 player of the year, 35 points, 10 rebounds, was phenomenal in the

second half, but Illinois comes back led by Andre Stoyakovich, 23 points off the bench.

Kyle Boswell, 22 points, but Stalkovich on the defensive end as well.

Three steals in the second half, two blocks, including a game ceiling one with nine seconds left.

Kyle, that was a big time college basketball game and a big time statement for Illinois

with Thomasov-Evasich sitting on the bench.

They still find a way to beat the number

11 team in the country. Yeah, that's a heck of a win early in the season. I wasn't sure. I went

bold and I took Illinois in this game. I just had a feeling. I thought this team had the veterans

on it, but just the offensive firepower that was going to be

tough for Texas Tech to stop and tried up a little bit in the second half. And it felt like

there was an avalanche there with J.T. Toppin. And in fact that he goes for 24 in the second

half, 34 overall. But this team withstood that. And they withstood a furious run early in the second half.

We're in the blink of an eye after they came out of the break.

Texas Tech leads the game by the under 12 timeout with a huge rally.

And this team just responded.
