Welcome, all you happy warriors. I am your rabbi, Rabbi Daniel Lapin, thrilled to be welcoming Happy Warriors to this show

where I reveal how the world really works.

And I admire every happy warrior because not only are you somebody who recognizes that life

is a challenge and is meant to be,

but that we are meant to throw ourselves into those challenges, confronting them, facing them,

and ultimately defeating them with great joy in our hearts.

And so to be part of this group is a real privilege for me and I'm proud to do it.

And I'm also happy because being a happy warrior is not that easy. And the last thing I want

is for you to be a lonely happy warrior because the fact is that you are in a minority. The majority

of people can be completely distracted by means of what the Romans call circuses and bread.

That's a metaphor for entertainment and money. So let people think that they're making money,

give them enough entertainment like, you know, 30 different television channels, and they can be

distracted. But happy warriors are not so easily distracted. Happy Warriors, we're trying to improve our five Fs,

our families, our finances, our faith, our friendships, and our physical fitness. And that's a

full-time job. We're busy with that. We are not easily distracted at all, but it's a minority of us.

It can be lonely, and that's why we have the website, we happy warriors.com, right?

all trying to do exactly what you're doing and all eager to share secrets of how they've overcome

particular roadblocks and eager to hear your ideas of what you have managed to accomplish.
