to Rick and Bubba University, the podcast, normally we interview guests, but we don't do that

all the time.

There's times that we just jump into the world that is the Rick and Bubba show.

And there's a tremendous amount of history that goes with this show now, 28 years that

we've been doing this.

Today, we're going to talk about one of the, and we've had, you know, you think about

9-11 and us being on the air and we've talked about that and maybe even do a podcast about

that when that comes back around on what it was like to be on the air during that time.

But we had a very traumatic event that took place January the 19th of 2008.

So the show had been going for 14 years at that point.

And so we had gone into Martin Luther King Jr. weekend, of course, if you're catching

this podcast around the 19th, you realize that's where we are now and every year this comes

around.

It's quite a marker for us.

And I was speaking at an event in Pigeon Forge in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, when I got

the awful news that our youngest son had drowned.

And while I was away and he did not survive, they were not able to revive him.

And so today, we want to kind of jump into what it was like for the team because I mean,

in the middle of all this, we're all friends, we're co-workers and you're trying to look

at the personal side of it.
