People who argued in favor of expanding universal health care said, well, right now we're using our emergency room as a triage.

It's kind of a weird corollary to what's happening in immigration, which is the rest of our system isn't functioning properly.

So everybody's showing up.

And in this case, the people who suffer the most here are the people with credible claims of asylum.

No complaints. Got a nice sunny day and, yeah, it's bright and early. Joe says you're not allowed to talk about the weather anymore. So you got to give us something else. I'm sorry. I don't really have anything else. Well, my heat wasn't working today. So we boiled some water. So we'll talk about gas stoves and I'm contributing to the problem here. Oh, I'll allow it, although I think that's adjacent to weather. That's like internal climate, but that's fine.

Yeah, well, it's all climate in my mind.

How is Costa Rica?

Well, speaking of climate in my mind, so I, we did this segment on psychedelics.

Well, when was it like six months ago, probably?

And I've never, I'd never done psychedelics before.

And this weekend, I did psilocybin for

the first time. So mushrooms. Okay. And I did a, what they would say is a ego dissolving dose of it.

I did it up in the mountains here in Costa Rica. Okay. And I would say that it was an overwhelmingly

positive experience and largely, I think, confirmed a lot of

things that we talked about on the show.

But, you know, there's this book by Michael Pollan, you know, this sort of famed science writer

where he talks about the sort of clinical uses of this,

but also argues that in, you know, well people who are not seeking to solve any particular ailment,

there are certain benefits of it. And that certainly was my experience. Do you consider yourself
