Warner. That's Joey Wagner. We're going to talk about the hits and misses from this game.

Illinois's 2-1 now in the Big Ten set up a huge meeting next week with number one Ohio State.

But what a day for Luke Altmyer. 390 passing yards on just 22 attempts.

Big plays galore, most of them to Hank Bady, who has a career day, 186 receiving yards.

Career high, 95 rushing yards for Colell Valentine.

Great day for the offense, not as much for the defense, Joey Wagner.

But the end of the day, this rivalry has been pretty one-sided for the last two decades.

So for Illinois, head back on the bus home, down 74 and get a win like this over Purdue.

They controlled the game for most of it after the first quarter.

Initial impressions from you, Joey.

Yeah, I mean, like you said, you don't want to take a win on the road for granted,

a win by 16 points, but kind of an uninspiring win in some ways, right? There was the

timeout situation in the second half. The end of half wasn't ideal. The defense was frustrating. They didn't

run the ball as well. And we say all of that. And in the past, when you say that, we're talking about a loss.

But they found a way Brett Bielma said it kind of shows the growth of the program where you can come in and not play your best ball and get out with a 16 point win. Some of that has to do with Purdue.

Barry Odom's got a very big uphill battle to get this thing figured out at Purdue.
