That was a three-on run lead in the ninth.

I know in rebuilds, and actually in any baseball season you're going to have losses.

But home opener, this was going to be a victory.

And then what happened, Vinnie? Yeah, I think what happened is the back end of the bullpen happened, unfortunately. Nate Jones and Joachim Soria had been so good in their first couple outings, respectively, but they were totally different pitchers tonight. I mean, Jones gave up three hits, the first three batters he faced in the eighth inning there. And then Soria comes in and pretty much had that thing won and then boom, two run Homer and

everything went south from there. And a bad miscue by Lauri Garcia. I mean, that's like,

I put it on him more than anybody because Lear, Soria actually had pretty good stuff. It was,

they didn't smoke the ball off of him except, well, okay. Except for that home run. Okay. So yeah, then there's this. Nico Goodrum. Who is Nico Goodrum? He came in for Miguel Cabr after Miguel Cabrera humorously stumbled around first base. You know, he's dealing with a little bit of an injury. I don't want to make light of that, obviously, but, you know, a big body falling down around first base is kind of funny. I didn't think it was possible for someone to hit a home run in this ballpark on this day. It was that cold. And yet, Nico Goodrum did it. In fact, I wonder how many people in the press box on the Chicago side of things had to Google the name, Nico Goodrum.

Yeah, I don't think anybody even bothered until he hit the home run. He had been in the game for six innings already, and I don't think anybody bothered. But, I mean, we saw it. The weather's effect on the long ball. Matt Davidson would have had his fifth home run of the season.

Oh, man, he smoked that.

It ended up hitting right at the top of the wall there.

We're going to get to the good that's going to hopefully make White Sox fans feel better about this loss, because, again, it is only one loss. But let's get to more of this bad. oh man
